The product of Caribbean/Indian/Filipino/Welsh heritage and raised Rastafarian, Kiddus’ musical stylings are as eclectic as his upbringing. Splicing soul, punk, afrobeat, indie-pop and grime into a beautiful Cronenbergian monster, struggling free of any genre it has pinned to it. Some call it ‘Post-Funk’, some ‘Moshpit R&B’, at times it wants to be called ‘Depressing Dancehall’. Regardless of it’s genre, Kiddus’ music is something totally new - bizarre and disorienting, yet dripping in charm and lo-fi honesty.

Snake Girl - Disc 1 is the debut EP from Kiddus
Born from a year spent in near complete isolation, the project is directly inspired by the hallucinations, paranoia, anxiety, introspection and spirituality of self-imposed seclusion.
From track to track Kiddus indiscriminately draws reference (and samples) from religion, memes, philosophy and professional wrestling. Nameless voices drift through periodically, ripped from cheesy educational VHS tapes, weird youtube videos with 20 views or interviews recorded long ago - acting as supporting roles to Kiddus’ protagonic vocals.
The result is intentionally dreamlike, you lie down, close your eyes and submit to whatever surreal things happen and accept them as normality. Perspectives shift, voices distort, songs bleed into each other and all of a sudden you’re somewhere completely different to where you were a second ago…
